The "prequel trilogy" (The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones & The Revenge of the Sith) was released between 1999 and 2005. In 2012, The Walt Disney Company acquired Lucasfilm and they began to release new Star Wars films including: The Force Awakens, Rogue One, The Last Jedi, Solo and more! The series has spawned books, television series, video games, comic books, toys, and many other products.
