An Original Vintage 10 1/2" x 14 1/4" [27 x 36 cm] Photo (Learn More) Habib Benglia was a black French Algerian actor from the 1920s to the 1960s. Like Paul Robeson in America, he was multi-talented and he starred in "The Emperor Jones" on stage in 1922, but the roles he was offered in movies were limited, so he mostly instead stayed with the stage, dancing, and other arts. However, he did have small parts in La Grande Illusion and Les Enfants du Paradis, two of the greatest French movies ever made! Benglia passed away in 1960 at the age of 65. Important Added Info: Note that this photo measures 10 1/2" x 14 1/4" [27 x 36 cm]. We suspect it was removed from a book (perhaps where it was tipped in). There is a small "40" in the bottom right corner, and the back is blank (except someone hand wrote the actor's name). If anyone knows more about this photo, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: good to very good. There is some scuffing in the middle right of the photo. Learn More about condition grades
