An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) The Son of the Wolf, the 1922 Norman Dawn silent Alaska sled dog northern action adventure ("Jack London's greatest story of the frozen north") starring Wheeler Oakman, Edith Roberts, Sam Allen, Edward Cooper, and Fred Kohler. Note that because Jack London was a bigger draw than the stars of the movie when it was released, the movie's advertising had his name in huge letters above the title and they used an image of him rather than an image of the stars! Also note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that any movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned anything other than a single 8x10 still from this movie until we received this glass slide! Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: very good.
