This was a short-lived format that existed in the early days of home viewing, when laserdiscs ultimately eliminated videos. RCA produced this system called CED under the brand SelectaVision in 1981. The system used a physical pickup riding in grooves of a pressed disc, reading variance in capacitance in the underlying disc. Each disc had a nice full-color poster-like image on the cover, and they could certainly be displayed, even if you don't have a SelectaVision player! The system competed with Laserdisc for a few years, before being abandoned. Surely a factor in its lack of success was the fact that each videodisc weighed around a pound! This affects this bulk lot, because it is surely heavier than you think it will be, so bear its weight in mind before bidding on it, because it will raise the shipping. Note that the items in this lot are from the 1980s. We do not provide a list of these items, but there are images of all of them. Measurements: 13" x 14"Condition: very good.
