An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Presskit (measures approximately 9" x 12" [23 x 30 cm]; contains 1 supplement, and 7 stills) (Learn More) Jakob the Liar, the 1999 Peter Kassovitz French/Hungarian/U.S. World War II (WWII) Jewish ghetto military melodrama ("When all hope was lost, he invented it."; remade from the 1974 "Jakob, der Lugner"; about a man in an Eastern European Jewish ghetto in World War II who wants to give his friends hope, and he tells them that he has a radio and that he has heard that the Russians are doing well against the Germans, which does cheer up all his friends, but then they keep asking him for more news, and he has to keep inventing more and more stories to keep the pretense going) starring Robin Williams (in the title role as Jakob), Alan Arkin, Bob Balaban, Michael Jeter, Armin Mueller-Stahl, Liev Schreiber, Hannah Taylor-Gordon and Eva Igo NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have taken a picture of the cover of the presskit and eight of the stills (less than eight if the presskit has less than eight stills, of course). We have noted if the presskit contains any supplements, but we do not picture them. All of the presskits are sealed and ready to be sent, and we cannot answer any questions about the contents, especially about what any stills we may have not pictured show. REMEMBER TO LOOK AT THE TOP OF THIS AUCTION TO SEE HOW MANY STILLS ARE INCLUDED WITH THIS PRESSKIT, BECAUSE WE NEVER PICTURE MORE THAN EIGHT OF THEM (and we pretty much picked eight stills at random). Condition: very good to fine. Many of the presskits we are auctioning this week were carefully stored away for many years, and the stills are in really excellent condition.
