An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Torrid Zone, the 1940 William Keighley banana plantation adventure romantic love triangle comedy ("Triple Tropical Trouble ... Cagney ...Sheridan ...O'Brien!"; about a man who runs a fruit plantation in a banana republic in Central America, and he hires an old pal to help him, but that causes problems both financially and romantically) starring James Cagney ("goes native!"), Ann Sheridan ("goes after him!"), Pat O'Brien ("goes after 'em both!"), Andy Devine, Helen Vinson, Jerome Cowan, George Tobias, and George Reeves NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good to very good. The poster had creases, smudges, and tiny tears on most of the foldlines. There were smudges in the yellow background areas. There were pinholes, creases, and smudges around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The person who backed the poster pretty much just backed it "as is". If I owned this cool poster, I would surely have it professionally re-backed by a talented restorer. After proper restoration and re-backing, the poster will look great, and there will have been little need for restoration on the poster, except in the yellow background areas. Note that the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster. Learn More about condition grades
