An Original Vintage Theatrical 7 1/2" x 9 1/2" Movie Still (Learn More)

Tropic Holiday, the 1938 Theodore Reed Mexico south-of-the-border romantic musical comedy ("Exotic romance in gay old Mexico! A carnival of fun and excitement!"; "The Hot Tamale of Musical Romances!"; about a Hollywood screenwriter who decides to take a trip to Mexico to find inspiration for his next movie, and he finds it in the form of lovely Dorothy Lamour!) starring Bob Burns, Martha Raye, Dorothy Lamour, Ray Milland, Binnie Barnes, and Tito Guizar
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Note that the still shows a great candid image of artist Russell Patterson creating a puppet with the features of various "Hollywood glamour girls". He used Marlene Dietrich's legs, the torso and bust of Betty Grable, while the face combined the features of Colbert, Lombard, Lamour, and others (pictures of these stars can be seen on the wall behind the composite doll). The doll was needed for a scene in this movie. Also note that there is information about the still printed on the back. There is a stamp on the back of the still that reads, "CREDIT WILL BE APPRECIATED PARAMOUNT PHOTO BY DON ENGLISH". The still measures 7 1/2" x 9 1/2", but it does not appear to be trimmed.

Condition: very good to fine. There are a few faint emulsion scuffs scattered around the edges of the still, but they are truthfully not very noticeable at all except when the still is tilted to the light.
