Note that Otis Skinner first played this role on Broadway in 1911, and recreated it in a sound musical version in 1930, but that film is lost. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds. It had tiny tears and tiny bits of paper loss in the top and bottom quarters of the vertical foldline, with minor wear on the other folds. It had pinholes around the edges. There was grease pencil writing on the back of the top of the poster that bled through in the area under the "COL" of "COLMAN" and in the letters "SME" of "KISMET". Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. Learn More about condition grades
