He was star football player in college, and when he graduated, he was signed to a contract by MGM. He initially naturally appeared in sports movies, and graduated to the leads in some A-movies, but in 1930, he starred in "Billy the Kid", and he soon was typecast in westerns, and by the late 1930s, Johnny was solely making B-westerns, mostly for Monogram Pictures, and he was one of the most successful cowboy stars of the 1940s. Some of his movies include: Apache Uprising, Short Grass, and Hollywood Halfbacks. He passed away in 1974 at the age of 70. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This Argentinean one-sheet measures 29" x 43" and is folded. Condition: very good. There are minor creases in the foldlines and borders.
