An Original 1974 (from the first release of this movie in Belgium) Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Belgian Movie Poster (measures 14 1/2" x 19" [37 x 48 cm]) (Learn More) The Satanic Rites of Dracula (released in the U.S. in 1978 as "Count Dracula and His Vampire Bride" [see below]), the 1973 Alan Gibson English Hammer cult science fiction (sci-fi) vampire horror thriller ("The Masters of Menace Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing They're dead but they're alive..."; "'The King of the undead marries the Queen of the Zombies'"; "Evil begets evil on the sabbath of the undead!") starring Christopher Lee (in the title role as Count Dracula), Peter Cushing (as Professor Van Helsing), Michael Coles, William Franklyn, Freddie Jones, Joanna Lumley, and Pauline Peart (she had been voted Jamaica Island's Number One beach beauty, which got her the part in this movie). Note that Warner Bros. planned to release this film in the U.S. as "The Satanic Rites of Dracula" in 1974, but then decided to shelve it, and later sold the rights to Dynamite Entertainment who first released the movie in the U.S. in 1978 as "Count Dracula and His Vampire Bride". Except for some 8x10 stills from the aborted release, all 1974 U.S. Warner Bros. advertising material was intended for international audiences (they are marked "international" or "foreign"). Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 14 1/2" x 19" [37 x 48 cm]. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster originally had a blank top that was neatly trimmed off (this is commonly done with Belgian posters, similar to how the blank top is trimmed off of U.S. window cards). The poster also had pretty minor fold and border wear. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
