An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Doctor Monica, the 1934 William Keighley female medical doctor infidelity marriage romantic love triangle pregnancy melodrama (based on the play by Maria Morozowicz-Szczepkowska; about a husband who cheats on his obstetrician wife with her friend, and she is put in the extremely uncomfortable position of delivering a baby for her friend that was fathered by her husband!) starring Kay Francis (in the title role as Dr. Monica Brayden), Jean Muir, Warren William, Verree Teasdale, and Emma Dunn NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this lobby card, and that was 18 years ago! In the past year, we auctioned the title card for $913, and two scenes with images of Francis, and those sold for $1,550 and $1,426. The card we are currently auctioning is the final card we have from this movie, so this is the last opportunity to obtain a great scene card from this movie, unless we are somehow consigned another one (or one of the past ones gets reconsigned). Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good. The card has tack holes, smudges, and small stains around the edges, with a few extending into the image, but not in Francis or the baby's image. There is a tack hole in Francis' sleeve and and a tiny dot stain in her hair and hat. Note that this card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back! Obviously, this rare lobby card can be restored, but bear in mind the above defects before bidding. Learn More about condition grades
