An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Bad Day at Black Rock, the classic 1955 John Sturges (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) post-World War II (WWII) California racial prejudice murder mystery crime thriller ("Just the way it happened!"; "Based on a Story by Howard Breslin"; about a mysterious stranger with a bad arm who goes to the creepiest tiny town you have ever seen to figure out what happened to a Japanese farmer who lived there and then mysteriously disappeared; a really wonderful cast makes this movie even better than it already was, due to its excellent writing and direction!) starring Spencer Tracy (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Robert Ryan, Anne Francis, Dean Jagger, Walter Brennan, John Ericson, Ernest Borgnine, Lee Marvin, and Russell Collins NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: very good to fine. There are tiny staple holes in the top corners. There is an odd printing defect on this card, which is that the borders have a "pink-ish" tint to them, rather than the usual white. This was something that was caused during the printing process, and which we have seen on several cards of this title and other titles of the mid-1950s, and most collectors do not consider it a significant defect since it only affects the blank borders.
