The play was designed to be staged in both small towns with limited resources, and large cities which could have larger and more elaborate productions. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster was never folded. It had many light creases and scuffs scattered throughout. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. After the poster was backed, it was roughly handled, and there are now many creases across the bottom excess linen that extend into the bottom of the poster in the right half of the bottom border, and has caused it to "lift" from the linen in one area with a small tear.
