An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) Victor Hugo's Les Miserables, the classic 1935 Richard Boleslawski epic prisoner-on-the-run-hunted-throughout-the-years melodrama ("The greatest human story ever written becomes a screen triumph awaited by millions"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award; based on the French novel by Victor Hugo, which was also the source for the long-running Broadway play; produced by Darryl F. Zanuck) starring Fredric March (as Jean Valjean), Charles Laughton (as Inspector Javert), Sir Cedric Hardwicke (as Bishop Bienvenu), Rochelle Hudson (as Cosette), Frances Drake (as Eponine), Florence Eldridge (as Fantine), John Beal (as Marius), Ferdinand Gottschalk (as Thenardier), Vernon Downing (as Brissac), and John Carradine. Note that there was a 1980 French musical stage play adapted from this classic book and movie, but it did not do well. In 1985, it was significantly expanded and changed into an English language play, which has gone on to become one of the most successful plays of all time, in London, on Broadway, and all over the world! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
