An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) New Moon, the 1940 Robert Z. Leonard romantic musical ("The sweethearts of 'Sweethearts' are sweethearts again!"; "Based on the musical operetta 'New Moon'"; "Book and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein, 2nd, Frank Mandel, and Laurence Schwab") starring Jeanette MacDonald, Nelson Eddy, Mary Boland, George Zucco, H.B. Warner, Grant Mitchell, and Stanley Fields. One of the great highlights of the movie is Nelson Eddy's rendition of "Stout-Hearted Men"! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: fine. This glass slide is in really excellent condition, and we feel that EVERY collector would be happy to own it. It IS possible it may have a MINOR defect or defects, but nothing at all significant. But we bet many dealers would call items in this grade "mint" or "near mint"! Learn More about condition grades
