An Original Vintage Theatrical Tri-folded Three-Sheet Movie Poster (3sh; measures 41" x 80") (Learn More)

Under Secret Orders, the 1937 (released in the U.S. in 1943) Edmond T. Greville English World War I (WWI) military spy espionage thriller ("A gripping expose of a most sinister spy ring!"; about a German spy during World War I who, just before he is killed by British agents, tells the secrets he has discovered to his girlfriend, and she becomes a spy, very successfully, but then she begins to question if she is on the right side) starring Dita Parlo, John Loder, Erich von Stroheim (billed on U.S. posters as "Erich Stroheim"), Claire Luce, and Gyles Isham. Note that this movie was inspired by the life of female German spy, Elsbeth Schragmuller, who was known as Fraulein Doktor, and not only was she a very successful spy, but she also recruited and trained Mata Hari among others! Finally, note that when this movie was made in England in 1937, there was not enough interest in it for a U.S. release. But in 1943, during World War II, a U.S. distributor released it, and they gave Erich von Stroheim top billing, even though he gets killed early in the movie, and they billed him as "Erich Stroheim", likely due to the anti-German sentiments of the time.

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: This three-sheet was printed in 2 sections. Note that this three-sheet poster was tri-folded only (which means there is one less vertical machine fold than usual). This means the poster has a significantly lesser number of folds than with three-sheets folded in the "regular" way, which is nice! Tri-folded three-sheets need to be sent in an oversized flat package, which measures roughly 13" x 30", so they cost more to send than regularly folded three-sheets, especially if they are sent to non-U.S. addresses.

Condition: very good. The poster is somewhat fragile and is beginning to separate on parts of some foldlines but is otherwise in good condition!
