Condition: very good. The poster was never folded. It was displayed in a frame for many years and the back of the poster has darkened, but it does not affect the front. There are some small tears in the left blank border. There is a 1/2" tear and a 1" tear near the middle of the right border and someone put a piece of paper tape on the back of that area, and there are two more 1" tears above and below those two tears, and those each have clear tape on the back. There was a 1" tear in the left of the top border and that has a piece of paper tape on the back, and there is a 1" tear in the middle right of the bottom border that is not repaired. There is a pinhole in each corner. There is a partial faint rectangular area of staining in the left of the bottom border. There are a few creases and smudges scattered in the image, more so around the edges. Because the above defects are mostly in the blank borders or on the back of the poster, I would think most collectors would be quite happy to display this rare and wonderful poster just as it is. But certainly, any talented restorer could perform restoration, after which it will look incredible, and it will require little paint restoration in the image area. Learn More about condition grades
