And the lips of its golden-haired queen!"; "From a novel by Stephen Longstreet"; not really a western, about a bad man who is kicked out of the Union army in the Civil War, and he becomes a gambler, and he has an employee with a beautiful wife, so, much like David and Bathsheba, he arranged to have the man in a dangerous situation, and he is killed, and he weds the widow, but she learns the truth about him, and he must try to change his ways to win her back) starring Errol Flynn, Ann Sheridan, Thomas Mitchell, Bruce Bennett, Tom D'Andrea, Barton MacLane, Monte Blue, Jonathan Hale, and Al Bridge NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this still appears in every way to be original U.S. release EXCEPT that there is one very tiny line of French type in the lower left. It reads, "IMPRIME AUX ETATS-UNIS D'AMERIQUE". It seems reasonable that this movie might have been one of the very first U.S. movies released in France after it was liberated from the Germans, and so this still is likely from that very first French release, perhaps in 1948.
