An Original Vintage 1930 Hardcover Photo Book (measures 7 1/2" x 10 1/4"; 280 pages) (Learn More)

The Stars of the Photoplay ("Art Portraits of Famous Film Favorites with Short Biographical Sketches"; "Over one hundred art portraits of famous film favorites with short biographical sketches"), a book published annually in the 1920s and 1930s by Photoplay magazine. Each yearly book contained hundreds of great black and white portraits of the major stars of the day (many taken by famous photographers such as Clarence Sinclair Bull). Under each sepia portrait was a biography of the star.

Condition: good to very good. There are some stains and tears around the edges of some of the interior pages of the book, including some stains at bottom on the page with William Powell featured. Overall, the book is in readable condition, but is somewhat fragile (as one would expect from an 81 year old book!).
