The Phantom Thief, the 1946 D. Ross Lederman Massachusetts paranormal spiritualist seance detective crime mystery thriller ("Blackie's got a super-natural clue... To a super-clever killer!"; "The spirits move him and Blackie's on the spot again!"; "Blackie questions a phantom... And the answer is murder!") starring Chester Morris ("as Boston Blackie"), Jeff Donnell, Richard Lane, Dusty Anderson, George E. Stone, and Marvin Miller. Note that this is one of fourteen movies made in the 1940s with Chester Morris playing the fictional character "Boston Blackie", a former crook turned detective (there had been ten silent movies made in the 1920s), all of which were based on short stories by Jack Boyle.

Important Added Info: SUPER IMPORTANT! THIS LOT CONTAINS 11 STILLS, BUT ONLY FOUR OF THE STILLS ARE PICTURED! THE HIGH BIDDER ON THIS LOT WILL RECEIVE 11 STILLS FROM THIS MOVIE, and NOT just the four pictured! We realize there is an element of gambling to this, but we made no effort to find the best four stills in the lot, and, if you have any willingness to gamble at all, you may find that you get some great stills that were not pictured! Please do NOT bid on this lot unless you can accept that you are only seeing four of the stills.

Condition: very good. One of the stills has some emulsion loss solely in the left blank border. Some of the stills have some dot brown water stains on the back, but it has no effect on the front. Overall, the stills are in pretty nice condition!
