An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Mexican Spitfire, the 1940 Leslie Goodwins romantic newlywed comedy (the second of many "Mexican Spitfire" movies from this popular comedy series) starring Lupe Velez (in the title role), Leon Errol, Donald Woods, Linda Hayes, Elisabeth Risdon, and Cecil Kellaway. Note that the first movie in this series was made a year earlier, and was called "The Girl from Mexico". In that movie, Donald Woods' character first meets Lupe Velez, and at the end of the movie, they are finally united, but it was not intended to be the start of a series. But the movie proved very popular, so a year later, this sequel was made, which began with them being married, and there were six more sequels over the next few years. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: good to very good. The card is somewhat brittle and there are pin holes and areas of paper loss around the edges. The card is otherwise in pretty nice condition. There are remnants of pieces of tape on the back of the card at upper left, but they were not put there for any restoration purpose.
