An Original Vintage Unfolded World War I Poster (measures 19 1/2" x 29 3/4" [50 x 76 cm]) (Learn More) V, the 1917 U.S. World War I (WWI) War Bonds poster ("INVEST"). Note that this poster was intended for use in the Liberty Loan campaign (some had INVEST below the V). It was sold for $2, which was the first payment on a "$50 victory note", which cost $2 down and $1 a week. You could also purchase $100 victory notes and $500 victory notes at any bank. You were then encouraged to display this poster in your window, showing that you had supported the government and were "a regular American" If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good to very good. There are some creases and tears of varying lengths (generally 1" or less but some are larger) around the edges.
