Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (27" x 41") (Learn More) Lady Hamilton (released in the U.S. as "That Hamilton Woman"), the 1941 Alexander Korda English historical Napoleonic War romantic adventure melodrama ("'I forgot that once I was a nobody and that today they call me 'That Hamilton Woman''"; "That Hamilton Woman 'I knew her when she was a nobody. I watched her use every trick to get ahead.. until she scandalized the world by enslaving its greatest hero!'"; "That Hamilton Woman 'I tried to resist her for I knew how unscrupulous she was. I was one of many men she cast aside when Nelson's infatuation for her shook all Europe!'"; "That Hamilton Woman You'll be amazed at her and you'll agree that no one but Vivien Leigh has the fire to portray her.. that no one but Laurence Olivier could be her perfect lover!") starring Vivien Leigh (in the title role as Emma Lady Hamilton), Laurence Olivier (as Lord Horatio Nelson), Alan Mowbray, Sara Allgood, Gladys Cooper, and Henry Wilcoxon NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This poster has been professionally linenbacked. It now looks great, and most dealers would describe it as "fine (or mint) on linen". We have noted the defects that were restored below (and feel everyone should always do this!). Many collectors would not be aware of the restoration this poster has had unless it was specifically shown to them! Condition: good to very good. This poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. It appears to have had the following defects: The poster was generally in nice condition (there is a faint crease visible in Leigh's cheek and nose at top left, but you only see it close up). HOWEVER, there are many stains in the upper right background area (but fortunately none elsewhere in the poster). The person who linenbacked the poster did not attempt to restore them, but surely a talented restorer could cover them with a matching background color (without rebacking the poster) and the result would be a poster that looks great without paint in any important area.
