An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 28 1/4" x 41" [72 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

Let's Get a Divorce, the 1918 Charles Giblyn silent romantic love triangle comedy ("From Victorien Sardou's 'Divorcon's'"; "The escape from the convent garden"; about a spoiled pretty woman who is married, but who has an affair and tells her husband she wants a divorce, but he devises a scheme to get her to stay with him) starring Billie Burke ("By arrangement of F. Ziegfeld, Jr."), John Miltern, Pinna Nesbit, Armand Kaliz, and Rod La Rocque. Billie Burke was a top star who was married to Florenz Ziegfeld, so that explains why she was credited in the above way. And of course, two decades later, she would become Glinda the Good Witch in The Wizard of Oz. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this poster, and we auctioned that same poster twice before, and that same poster has now been reconsigned to us once again, so this is STILL the only example of this poster we have ever auctioned! We have also never auctioned ANY other movie paper from this movie except for a single lobby card! Note that this one-sheet measures 28 1/4" x 41" [72 x 104 cm].

What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and very minor fold and border wear. It had some writing on the back of the top left corner that slightly bled through in the background area. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
