Artist: ITK Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned two examples of this Belgian poster, and the last one was 10 years ago! Also note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 12 1/2" x 22" [32 x 56 cm]. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster originally had a blank top that was neatly trimmed off (this is commonly done with Belgian posters, similar to how the blank top is trimmed off of U.S. window cards). The poster also had a horizontal fold 3" from the top of the image, with small tears and tiny paper loss across that fold, and some other small areas of paper loss in the top 3" of the poster. It had some tears and tiny paper loss scattered in the rest of the image. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
