Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. The poster had extra horizontal folds and it had tiny paper loss at the middle crossfold. It had separation near the middle of the top horizontal fold and someone put a piece of tape on the back of that separation that bled through to the front. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was backed onto a thin linen with no excess on the left and right. A slight attempt at restoration was performed. Unfortunately, after it was backed, the poster was very roughly handled, and it acquired many creases throughout, both in the linen and in the poster itself. It also acquired a 4" vertical razor cut in the bottom left corner, both in the poster and in the linen, but only blank white paper was affected. If I owned this poster, I would have it removed from the thin linen and properly backed, and it would look great, but bear in mind its defects and this expense before bidding on it.
