There's no way out."; "Hundreds trapped by flames on 135th floor of World's Tallest building"; "Day of Dedication Becomes Night of Blazing Terror"; "Rescue efforts hampered by explosions, High winds"; "Mayor, Senator among Notables Periled"; "Based on the novels 'The Tower' by Richard Martin Stern and 'The Glass Inferno' by Thomas N. Scortia and Frank M. Robinson"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Steve McQueen ("as O'Hallorhan The Fire Chief"), Paul Newman ("as Roberts The Architect"), William Holden ("as Duncan The Builder"), Faye Dunaway ("as Susan The Girl Friend"), Fred Astaire (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film; "as Harlee The Con Man"), Susan Blakely ("as Patty The Wife"), Richard Chamberlain ("as Simmons The Son-In-Law"), Jennifer Jones ("as Lisolette The Widow"), O.J. Simpson ("as Jernigan The Security Man"), Robert Vaughn ("as Parker The Senator"), and Robert Wagner ("as Bigelow The Publicity Man"). Note that this movie was originally two competing productions from two different studios, Warner Bros. and 20th Century-Fox (based on two similar books, "The Tower" by Richard Martin Stern, and "The Glass Inferno" by Thomas N. Scortia), and the studios wisely chose to instead collaborate on a single movie, which resulted in a pretty amazing all-star cast, and one of the very best movies of its kind! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this cool Dutch presskit contains 9 U.S. stills, but they are "Can/US" (they are identical to the U.S. ones except they have one very tiny line of French type at the bottom, which reads, "IMPRIME AUX ETATS-UNIS D'AMERIQUE"). It also has two supplements entirely in English, but with Dutch information at the bottom of the front of each, and it also contains an empty Towering Inferno pack of matches with all Dutch writing on it, and two borderless 5" x 7" stills of unknown origin! Note that we have taken a picture of the cover of the presskit and all of the stills. Condition: very good to fine. The stills are in nice condition as are the supplements. The matchbook is only in "good" condition and the cover has some stains at the bottom of the front. Learn More about condition grades
