3 1936 Re-Release Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Handy Andy, the 1934 David Butler romantic screwball comedy ("Fun - Romance - Thrills with WILL A Country Druggist"; "It's greater than 'David Harum'"; "More fun than ever!"; "Based on the play 'Merry Andrew' by Lewis Beach"; about a small town druggist married to a woman who wants bigger and better things, and she gets him to go on an expensive vacation where a gigolo romances her while he plays golf, and her husband becomes insanely jealous and ends up in jail) starring Will Rogers (in the title role as Andrew 'Andy' Yates), Peggy Wood, Conchita Montenegro, Mary Carlisle, Roger Imhof, and Robert Taylor (eternally youthful male star of the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s; this was his very first movie, and he was sixth billed!)

Important Added Info: Note that Will Rogers was the foremost movie star for Fox Pictures in the early 1930s, and was at the height of his career when he was killed in a plane crash in 1935. Fox had just merged with Twentieth Century Pictures to form 20th Century Fox (Rogers had made one movie for the combined company), and immediately after his death, and for the year after, 20th Century Fox re-issued all of his sound movies. This item is from the 1936 re-release of Rogers' 1934 "Handy Andy".

Condition: good to very good. Two have had portions of the blank borders slightly trimmed (see our images). The card at lower left has a few scuff marks within the image. They are otherwise in generally nice condition.
