An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 26 3/4" x 41") (Learn More) Laughing Anne, the 1954 Herbert Wilcox English/U.S. romantic adventure thriller ("Story by Joseph Conrad") starring Wendell Corey, Margaret Lockwood (in the title role as Laughing Anne), Forrest Tucker, Ronald Shiner (billed as "introducing Ronald Shiner"), and Robert Harris NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this movie was a co-production of Republic Pictures and Herbert Wilcox Productions, an English studio. The poster has art on the top left that looks like that of a typical Republic poster, while the art of the girl down the right side looks like that of a typical English poster, so perhaps the poster was a "co-production" as well! Condition: good to very good. The poster had minor wear in the foldlines, but it had some paper loss in the blank borders, and very slightly in the bottom of the image at right. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer linenbacked the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above, but they are really not at all distracting (and any restorer could easily touch them up without re-backing the poster).
