An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Fireman, Save My Child!, the 1954 Leslie Goodwins firefighter screwball comedy ("It's a four-alarm laff riot!"; "They're setting the town on fire!"; "The craziest new comedy combination of them all... in a four-alarm riot of laughs!"; "Hear the City Slickers' maddest music yet!") starring Spike Jones and His City Slickers, Buddy Hackett, Hugh O'Brian, Adele Jergens, and Tom Brown. Note that Abbott & Costello were slated to star in this movie, but Costello's ill health caused their withdrawal. Jones and Hackett were chosen to replace them, partially because they fit the clothing which had already been made for Abbott & Costello. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had a Canadian censor stamp in the upper left of the image, with some tiny paper loss on parts of some folds and pinholes in the corners. It had paper loss in the center of the bottom blank border. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects, and the restorer left alone the censor stamp.
