An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Belgian Movie Poster (measures 14 1/2" x 23") (Learn More) Gigi, the 1949 Jacqueline Audry (billed as "Jacqueline Aubry") French romantic comedy (about a young teenage thumb-sucking French girl who is intended to be a courtesan, but the man falls in love with her instead) starring Jean Tissier, Gaby Morlay, Yvonne de Bray, Frank Villard, Paul Demange, Madeleine Rousset, Yolande Laffon, Helene Pepe, and Daniele Delorme (in the title role as Gigi). Note that this movie was based on the 1944 novella by Colette. Two years after this movie came out, there was a stage version which starred Audrey Hepburn, and seven years after that, it became a blockbuster movie starring Leslie Caron and it won the Academy Award for Best Picture.
