Cavalcade, the 1933 Frank Lloyd (winner of the Best Director Academy Award for this film) England family historical melodrama ("Fox Film's Picture of the Generation"; "Great as life itself!"; "Thrilling entertainment titanic in its power!"; based on the play "by Noel Coward"; winner of the Best Picture Academy Award; it follows a single English family from 1899, when the father is off to fight in the Boer War, and it follows the family through its trials and tribulations right up to the then-present day of 1933) starring Diana Wynyard (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Clive Brook, Una O'Connor, Herbert Mundin, Beryl Mercer, Margaret Lindsay, John Warburton, Frank Lawton, Ursula Jeans, Douglas Scott, Ann Shaw, Will Stanton, and Betty Grable (in an uncredited role). Note that while this movie is set in England and has an English cast (and was based on Noel Coward's play), it was a Hollywood movie produced by William Fox! It won one of the first Best Picture Oscars, and first release posters from it are extremely rare.

Important Added Info: SUPER IMPORTANT! THIS LOT CONTAINS 10 STILLS, BUT ONLY FOUR OF THE STILLS ARE PICTURED! THE HIGH BIDDER ON THIS LOT WILL RECEIVE 10 STILLS FROM THIS MOVIE, and NOT just the four pictured! We realize there is an element of gambling to this, but we made only a small effort to find the best four stills in these lots, and, if you have any willingness to gamble at all, you may find that you get some great stills that were not pictured! Please do NOT bid on this lot unless you can accept that you are only seeing four of the stills.

Note that on our larger lots of black and white stills (mostly the ones with nine or more in the lot), there are a small number of lots where there may be one or several duplicated stills in the stills not pictured (we only picture four of the stills on all of the black and white lots). Sometimes we noted when some of the stills not pictured were duplicates to the ones that were pictured, but we likely did not catch that on many of the lots (especially the ones with a large number of stills), so please do not bid on the lots of nine or more stills unless you can accept the possibility that there may be some duplicated stills contained in the lot.

Condition: good to very good. There are two 'punch' holes in one of the borders of each still. The stills are otherwise in pretty nice condition.
