An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 26" x 40" [66 x 102 cm]) (Learn More) Alfred Hitchcock's Dial M For Murder, the classic 1954 Alfred Hitchcock 3-D (3D; 3-Dimension) romantic love triangle crime murder mystery detective suspense thriller ("...is that you, darling?"; "Written by Frederick Knott who wrote the International Stage Success"; "If a woman answers... hang on for dear life!"; "Is this the man she was waiting for... or the man who was waiting for her?"; "Perfect 3 Dimension in the Hitchcock manner!") starring Ray Milland, Grace Kelly, Robert Cummings (Bob Cummings), John Williams, and Anthony Dawson. Note that, although this movie was filmed in 3-D, none of the original posters mention it at all (there is an explanation in the pressbook that because they know many theaters will not show it in 3-D, "the ads have been designed so that the 3D copy may be eliminated" [and obviously, this is why they did not put 3-D on the posters]). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this one-sheet has been trimmed and measures 26" x 40" [66 x 102 cm] UPDATED 03/20/2012: Note that the left, right, and top borders of this poster have been neatly trimmed and it now measures 26" x 40". While we had the correct measurements, we did not initially note that the poster had been trimmed. Condition: fair to good. Note that the left, right, and top borders of this poster have been neatly trimmed and it now measures 26" x 40". The poster had a 1 1/2" vertical tear in the background 2" to the left of the telephone. There was a tear and paper loss in the center of the top red border. In both cases, someone put tape on the back of those areas. The poster also had some creases and scuffs scattered throughout, with pinholes in the corners, and small tears and tiny areas of paper loss down the bottom half of the right blank border. Some amateur restorer used paint to try to touch up the above defects, and they also put white paint in scattered areas of the white portions of the title. If I owned this great poster, I would immediately give it to a talented restorer, and have them remove the amateur paint restoration and the tape from the back, and then properly restore and linenback the poster. But please bear this in mind before placing a bid on this poster. Learn More about condition grades
