An Original Vintage Theatrical 7 1/2" x 9 1/2" Movie Still (Learn More) The Web, the 1947 Michael Gordon crime film noir police thriller (based on a story by Harry Kurnitz; about a lawyer who kills a man who is attempting to kill his client, but he comes to wonder if he wasn't set up to do the killing to get rid of a man his client wanted dead) starring Edmond O'Brien, Ella Raines, William Bendix, Vincent Price, Maria Palmer, John Abbott, Fritz Leiber, and Howland Chamberlin NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that the movie is called "The Dark Web" on this still, which was the working title for this movie (it gives this title on the snipe on the back of the still)! Also note that there is a paper snipe glued on the back of the still that describes the scene on the front. Also note that this still measures 7 1/2" x 9 1/2", but it does not appear to be trimmed. There is a stamp on the back of the still that reads, "Photographed exclusively for FAWCETT PUBLICATIONS; Credit: CHARLES RHODES". Note that there is a distribution date stamped on the back of the still (it reads "APR 17 1947"). Condition: very good. There are faint outlines in the front of the still where the snipe was glued on the back, but they are really only noticeable when the still is tilted to the light. Learn More about condition grades
