An Original Vintage Autographed 5" x 7" [13 x 18 cm] Fan Photo and An Autographed Letter (measures 6" x 6"; 1 page) (Learn More) Roberta Shore (born Roberta Jymme Schourup) is a former juvenile actress and singer from the 1950s to the 1960s. When she started in acting in 1956 at the age of 13, she wanted to have a distinctive name, and she used her middle name, Jymme, and was billed as "Jymme Shore" briefly, but soon went back to her real first name! She had major roles in Disney movies (including The Shaggy Dog, and she was on many of the episodes of The Mouseketeers, although she was not an actual "Mouseketeer" because she was too tall) and sang with Lawrence Welk. She was Mormon, and when she entered her early twenties, she got married and completely left show business. Some of her other movies include: TV's "The Virginian", and The Young Savages. As of 2021, she is still alive at the age of 78! Important Added Info: Note that the fan photo AND the letter BOTH have been personally autographed (signed) by Roberta Shore (she signed both "Jymme Shore"; see above)! The photo has "From Jymme Shore Sat. Sept. 24 - 1955" written on the back, which is surely when her fan "Betty" received it. Betty apparently then followed up with a thank you card, and this time Jymme sent a letter to her dated December 30, 1955. We would have to imagine this is the first fan photo she autographed and the first fan letter she received, because they are from right before the first screen credits for her we could find. Our consignor is a longtime collector who purchased these signed items from a reputable dealer. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signatures to surely be authentic. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: very good.
