An Original Vintage Comic Book (measures approximately 6 3/4" x 10" [17 x 25 cm]) (Learn More) What If...? is a comic book anthology series published by Marvel Comics whose stories explore how the Marvel Universe might have unfolded if key moments in its history had not occurred as they did in mainstream continuity (for a couple of decades before this, DC Comics had used this same concept in a majority of issues, dubbed "Imaginary Stories"). Since What If debuted in 1977, the comics have been published in 14 series as well as occasional stand-alone issues. In 2024, Marvel announced that What If would expand to include alternate explorations of continuity within other non-Marvel Universe properties owned by their parent company The Walt Disney Company Artist: John Romita Jr. & Bob Layton Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this comic book! Contents: Dazzler/Iron Man issue. First story: "What If... the Dazzler had become the Herald of Galactus?" Script by Danny Fingeroth. Pencils by Mike Vosburg. Inks by Jon D'Agostino. In Dazzler 10 & 11, Alison Blaire met Galactus, the devourer of worlds! At the time Galactus needed help tracking down his rogue herald: Terrax the Tamer.
