An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Man of Aran, the classic 1934 Robert J. Flaherty English Ireland fisherman fishing sea documentary ("Robert Flaherty's saga of the sea"; about the very difficult lives faced by the people of the Aran Islands, off the coast of Ireland, and how they make their living fishing) starring Colman King, Maggie Dirrane, Michael Dirrane, Pat Mullin, and Patch Ruadh. Of course, Robert Flaherty is perhaps the most legendary documentary filmmaker of all time, and his most famous documentary was "Nanook of the North"! Note that this classic documentary opened in England in April of 1934, and then apparently premiered in New York in October of 1934, but was apparently given a wide release by Fox Films at the start of 1935 (soon after, Fox merged with 20th Century, so it had to be early 1935). Important Added Info: Note that this still has a copyright from 1935 for Fox Film Corp. We believe that is from the first U.S. release after it had a limited release from Gaumont British. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: very good.
