An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Style C One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Strike Up the Band, the 1940 Busby Berkeley romantic teenage juvenile musical comedy ("The merriest pair on the screen in a great new musical show!") starring Mickey Rooney, Judy Garland, Paul Whiteman and Orchestra, June Preisser, and William Tracy. Note that this was one of the best of the Mickey Rooney/Judy Garland pairings, directed by Busby Berkeley, and with musical support from Paul Whiteman and his Orchestra! Also note that this movie included a surreal fantasy sequence that included fruits and vegetables coming to life, and that sequence was created by Henry Rox, and animated by George Pal (several stills from that have survived, and have been auctioned by eMoviePoster.com!). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Al Hirschfeld Important Added Info: Note that first release 1940 movie paper from this Judy Garland/Mickey Rooney movie is incredibly rare. We have only auctioned one style C one-sheet from this movie in the past (and never a style D one-sheet), and that one time was 8 years ago, and that poster was only in "good" condition, and it auctioned for $376! Condition: very good to fine. The poster has some creases along the folds and around the edges (with two incredibly tiny tears in the borders), but is otherwise in nice condition. It has never had any restoration Learn More about condition grades
