Douglas in 'The Robe'"; "Written by Philip Dunne") starring Victor Mature (in the title role as Demetrius), Susan Hayward, Michael Rennie, Debra Paget, Anne Bancroft, Jay Robinson (as Caligula), Barry Jones, William Marshall, Richard Egan, Ernest Borgnine, Charles Evans, and Mickey Simpson. Note that the year before this movie was released, Richard Burton starred in "The Robe", also based on Lloyd C. Douglas' book, and it proved very successful, and this movie was released the following year, with Victor Mature, Michael Rennie, and Jay Robinson reprising their roles from The Robe, but otherwise with different actors. THE HIGH BIDDER ON THIS LOT WILL RECEIVE 9 STILLS FROM THIS MOVIE, and NOT just the eight pictured! We realize there is an element of gambling to this, but we made only a small effort to find the best eight stills in these lots, and, if you have any willingness to gamble at all, you may find that you get some great stills that were not pictured! Please do NOT bid on this lot unless you can accept that you are only seeing eight of the stills. Note that these stills measure 7" x 9 1/2" [18 x 24 cm], but they have not been trimmed. Also note that these stills were printed on Kodak paper, but we believe them to surely be original stills. Sometimes, studios would run out of stills and have extras printed on Kodak stock. Condition: very good to fine. There is a small label on the back of the lower right corner of the stills but it does not appear to have any effect on the front.
