An Original Vintage Linenbacked Cuban Museum Movie Exhibition Poster (measures 20" x 30") (Learn More) Exposicion ICAIC 10, the 1969 Cuban poster advertising a 10th annual event to be held at the ICAIC (Instituto Cubano de Arte e Industria Cinematograficos or the "Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry") on June 7th, 1969. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Artist: Rostgaard Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. Original Cuban posters from the 1960s were printed on a very cheap paper which scuffed easily. Since the posters were printed by a silkscreen type method, the ink would easily chip off. This poster had much surface chipping in parts of the camera (as seen in our image) and some scattered creases in the rest of the poster, and some minor border wear. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, and it seems likely that the surface paper loss may have occurred after the poster was backed. Please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept its defects described above or are willing to pay to have further restoration! Learn More about condition grades
