An Original 1956 Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) La Romana (released in the U.S. in 1956 as "Woman of Rome"), the 1954 Luigi Zampa French/Italian Italy romantic painter's artist model melodrama ("'I don't have to marry him, just because I undress in front of him...'"; "The streets were her battlefield ...men were her enemies!"; "Love was her profession... men were her career!"; "Based on Alberto Moravia's startling best seller") starring Gina Lollobrigida, Daniel Gelin, Raymond Pellegrin, Pina Piovani, Franco Fabrizi, Luigi Zampa, and Xenia Valderi. Note that this movie was not released internationally in most countries until 1956 or 1957, because in between the making of the movie and those dates, Lollobrigida had become a major star! Some pre-1970 half-sheet posters were folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 half-sheet posters (note that most post-1970 half-sheets were NOT folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those half-sheets). Condition: good to very good. There are some creases and tears of varying lengths (approximately 1" or less) around the edges.
