What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster was trimmed on all four sides, but it was mostly blank white paper that was affected, except for the very bottom of the MGM box at bottom, and the very top of Sullavan's credit at top. The image area had just minor wear on the folds (it had a total of five horizontal folds. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and the restorer re-created the missing borders and the slight missing parts at top and bottom described above.
