An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

Squadron of Honor, the 1938 Charles C. Coleman American Legion military veteran murder gun control crime action thriller ("100,000 Legionaires on a man hunt!"; "The legion goes 'over the top'... to drive the underworld undercover!"; a convoluted story of murder falsely pinned on a member of the American Legion, and the Legionnaires join together to find the true murderer) starring Don Terry, Mary Russell, Thurston Hall, Arthur Loft, Marc Lawrence, Robert Warwick, and Dick Curtis. What is really cool and unusual about this movie is that a major portion of the plot revolves around gun manufacturers and gangsters wanting to kill a pending gun control bill about to reach Congress, and they try to blackmail the members of the American Legion to use their influence to stop the bill, which would prevent private citizens from having the right to purchase guns, which is certainly a timely issue today! Also note that the American Legion is a massive group of veterans that was formed in 1919 after the end of World War I, and it still exists to this day and is a powerful lobby for the rights of all veterans!

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have only auctioned one in all our years of auctioning and that was in 2009!

Condition: good. The poster is lightly rippled and the lower vertical foldline is separated up to the bottom crossfold. It has tiny creases, tears, and bits of paper loss along portions of the vertical foldline above that crossfold and a few edge defects. After proper restoration the very rare poster will display well, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
