An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Six-Sheet Movie Poster (6sh; measures 81" x 81" [206 x 206 cm]) (Learn More)

Ridin' the Outlaw Trail, the 1951 Fred F. Sears cowboy western ("Starrett and Smiley blast killer's blackmail booby-trap!"; "Starrett and Smiley nab murder-mad blackmailers!") starring Charles Starrett (as The Durango Kid), Smiley Burnette, Sunny Vickers, Edgar Dearing, and "Pee Wee King & His Golden West Cowboys"

Artist: Glenn Cravath
Important Added Info: Note that when Columbia released Charles Starrett westerns after 1949, they simply printed up lots of examples of three pieces of a six-sheet with great art (they hired legendary artist Glenn Cravath to create a really striking image of Starrett shooting his gun while on a horse, with a lot going on beneath him and across the bottom of the poster). They then printed up individual top left pieces, giving the specific title and credits of each new movie, so that they could keep using the other three pieces and not have to pay to have new art created for each new movie! So this is partially a 1949 "stock" poster, and partially a brand new poster for the 1951 movie, "Ridin' the Outlaw Trail" (but since it is surely all there is, we consider it "first release"). Also note that this six-sheet was printed in 4 sections designed to overlap.

Condition: fair. The poster is fragile and there are separations, tiny tears, and tiny areas of paper loss on parts of many foldlines. The poster is mostly "all there", and after linenbacking by a talented professional, the poster will look great, and will likely need little paint restoration within the image. Please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept its very significant defects and are willing to pay to have them properly restored!
