An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Movie Window Card (WC; measures 14" x 22" [36 x 56 cm]) (Learn More) The Woman in Room Thirteen, the 1932 Henry King mistaken identity romantic love triangle murder mystery courtroom legal lawyer trial crime thriller (a very complicated story of a woman whose husband thinks she is having an affair, and he goes to the hotel room of the man he suspects, and walks in to find the man dead, and he is arrested and charged with the murder, and since he thinks his wife killed the man, he confesses, and then the wife, who did not kill the man but thinks her husband did, tells the police that she was having an affair with the dead man, even though she wasn't!; so both people think the other did it, and both give incriminating evidence, but everything works out in the end) starring Elissa Landi, Ralph Bellamy, Neil Hamilton, Myrna Loy, and Gilbert Roland. Note that this was a typical "pre-Code" movie, dealing with all the salacious elements that the Production Code would soon forbid from being shown in movies. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this window card, and it has now been reconsigned to us, so this is still the only example of this poster we have ever auctioned! Also note that this poster has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the poster was backed onto a light paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (it means that the poster must be handled carefully, as the backing does not give it much added strength, but it is similar to having an unrestored poster, and yet it has been properly preserved). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards. Condition: very good. Prior to paperbacking, the poster had darkened somewhat. It had a tear in the lower left border that went into the "R" of "ROOM", and a separated tear in the top left blank corner. It had a small hole in the top of the "3" of "13" and a few smudges and dot stains scattered in the image. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to paperbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Learn More about condition grades
