An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded German Movie Poster (measures 37" x 50 1/4" [94 x 128 cm]) (Learn More) Die Schwarze Natter (literally translates to "The Black Adder"), the 1913 Franz Hofer German silent spy circus romantic melodrama short (about two rival spies working in a circus [one as a dancer and the other as a horseback artist] and the dancer learns that her adversary is receiving secret information from a visitor who is in love with her so she schemes to acquire both the man and the information by framing her opponent!) starring Emmerich Hanus, Miriam Horwitz, Margarete Hubler, Hermann Seldeneck, and Ludwig Trautmann If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only auctioned three examples of this poster before! It was printed in Germany long before World War II. There are very few German movie posters from before World War II in existence (because of the massive paper shortages in Germany during World War II), and most of those few are in museums.
