Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. The poster had many creases and scuffs along the folds, with many scuffs in the lower left image, including over the stars. It had a long diagonal tear in the bottom right and other tears, stains, and smudges around the edges, with paper loss in the top left blank corner. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above.
