An Original 1949 (from the first release of this movie in Japan) Vintage Theatrical Folded Japanese "B2" Movie Poster (measures 20" x 28 1/2" [51 x 72 cm]) (Learn More)

Martin Roumagnac (released in the U.S. in 1948 as "The Room Upstairs"), the 1946 Georges Lacombe French romantic love triangle crime melodrama (based on the novel by Pierre-Rene Wolf; about a man so madly in love with Dietrich that he gives her a house, but it ruins him; and she can't choose between him and her rich boyfriend) starring Marlene Dietrich, Jean Gabin (in the title role), Jean d'Yd, Daniel Gelin and Jean Darcante. Note that this movie was released in the U.S. two years after it was made, but we have never seen any posters or lobby cards from that release, only stills.

Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 20" x 28 1/2" [51 x 72 cm]. Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: good. Unfortunately, someone attempted to restore this poster and there are small pieces of tape on the back along the foldlines and several areas of paint on the front that do not match and are plainly visible from any viewing distance. A small amount was neatly trimmed from the edges of the poster. There are minor creases and scuffs scattered throughout the poster, but other than the really poor amateur restoration, the poster is in generally nice condition. One could have the poster professionally restored and it would look great, but please bear this in mind before bidding!
