An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Three-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 41" x 81") (Learn More) My Friend the Devil, the 1922 Harry F. Millarde silent family relationship medical doctor religious awakening melodrama ("Read her diary!"; "Adapted from Georges Ohnet's novel 'Docteur Rameau'"; a wild story of a doctor who saw his mother killed by lightning when he was a boy, which made him an avowed atheist, and when he marries, his wife has a baby, but dies of heart disease; years later, on his daughter's wedding day, he learns of his wife's infidelity, and he ruins his daughter's wedding by making a scene; when she then suffers a collapse, he does all he can to save her, but it is only after he finally turns to God that his daughter is healed!) starring Charles Richman, Ben Grauer, William H. Tooker, Adolph Milar, and John Tavernier. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This three-sheet was printed in 3 sections. Condition: good. The poster had many tears and areas of paper loss in the top of the right vertical foldline starting 2" above the doctor's shoulder and running down to the foldline 1" below the "D" of "Doctor". There were creases, small tears, and a few tiny areas of paper loss on a few of the other foldlines. There were creases, smudges, and some tears in the borders. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was backed many years ago on a very thin linen, and it is "lifting" from the linen in several places, and the restoration was not very good, so if I owned this poster, I would surely have it re-backed. After proper re-backing, the poster would look great, and there would be little paint restoration anywhere on the poster except in the upper part of the vertical foldline as described above.
