Seiter Buenos Aires Argentina romantic love triangle musical dance marriage comedy ("You'll love Hayworth's exciting loveliness! You'll go for Astaire's entrancing rhythm! You'll cheer Kern's greatest hit score since his memorable 'Show Boat'!"; "Hayworth... Never lovelier! Astaire... Never more exciting! Kern's Music.. Never more inspired!";"Beauty... Laughter... Rhythm... all going to make up a refreshingly new kind of musical motion picture!"; "[Not since his memorable 'Show Boat'!]"; "Hayworth's loveliness... Astaire's dancing... Kern's music!"; "Music by Jerome Kern"; about an American dancer in Argentina who wants to perform at a nightclub, but the owner, who wants his daughters to marry in age order, insists that the dancer must court his older daughter, but naturally, he prefers her younger sister, who is played by gorgeous Rita Hayworth) starring Fred Astaire, Rita Hayworth, Adolphe Menjou, Isobel Elsom, Leslie Brooks, Adele Mara, Xavier Cugat & His Orchestra, Lina Romay, and Miguelito Valdes NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only once before sold this rare style B half-sheet from this movie, with a wonderful full-length image of Rita Hayworth (and we have never sold the style A half-sheet, which probably looks like the title card). When we sold this poster before, it was eight years ago, and it auctioned for $1,028.50, and that example was linenbacked. Also note that this poster has never been folded! Some pre-1970 half-sheet posters were folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 half-sheet posters (note that most post-1970 half-sheets were NOT folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those half-sheets). Condition: good. The poster had a 2" tear and a 1 1/2" tear in the lower left border, and someone put tape on the back of both tears. It has pinholes in the corners, with tiny paper loss in the bottom right corner. It has smudges and stains around the edges. It has some small creases and smudges scattered through the poster, with smudges in the middle left of the poster above Hayworth's knee and in the yellow background next to it. If I owned this wonderful poster, I would immediately send it to a talented restorer. The smudges and scuffs probably would respond well to professional restoration, because many of them could be removed through chemical means, and after proper paperbacking, this poster will look amazing, but please read our description above and look at our super-sized image before placing a bid on this poster.
